Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Depart Kampala-Equator Experience-Transfer to Bwindi National Park
After breakfast, you will be picked up by one of our representatives from Great Nest Image Safaris. You will be brief about the whole safari before you start off your journey to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park found in the southwestern part of Uganda.
Along the way you will have a stopover at the Equator for refreshments, equator experiment as well as take some photos. Later you will head to Mbarara town where you will have your lunch. Thereafter, you will proceed to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park arriving late afternoon and checking in at the lodge, relax and have Dinner.

Day 2: Gorilla trekking-Batwa cultural experience
After an early morning breakfast, you will be driven to the park headquarters where you will be briefed by the park rangers about do’s and don’ts while trekking in the forest. Before, you will also be divided into a group of 8 individuals and later start off your gorilla trekking in search of these great apes.
This is generally a memorable and an amazing experience watching the Mountain gorillas feed, play around and also do their day to day activities. However, the time taken and the terrain vary with the movements of these great primates and once you have located a gorilla group, you will be allowed an hour in their presence. Later, you will return to your lodge and in the evening visit the Batwa community. These will expose you to their culture basing on how they live, dance, and also hearing stories concerning their culture which will leave you amazed. Dinner and overnight stay at your lodge.

Day 3: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park-Evening game drive
You will have breakfast and later set off to Lake Mburo National Park via Mbarara town. Lake Mburo National Park is the smallest of Uganda’s savannah national parks as well as a home to over 350 bird species. You will arrive in the early afternoon and take some rest before proceeding out for the evening game viewing. During the game drive, expect to see elands, zebras, topi, impalas, Uganda kob and Cape buffalos among others. Later, relax at your lodge where you will spend the night.

Day 4: Nature walk – Transfer back to Kampala
Enjoy your early breakfast and proceed for the Mburo morning park (bush) walk in the presence of an armed Uganda Wildlife Authority ranger/guide. While here, you will have the opportunity to encounter; Zebras, Giraffes and Eland, Topi, Cape buffaloes etc. Take the trail to the top of the hills and see Lake Mburo. From this vantage point, you will also have a great view of 9 of the twelve crater lakes surrounding Lake Mburo National Park. Afterwards, you will return to the lodge for checkout and then hit the road to catch up your flight/your hotel.

SAFARI TRANSPORT
Standard 4X4 Safari Vans/Land cruisers
Our standard mode of transport is by road and we use 4×4 Safari van and Land cruisers with open roof tops customized for game viewing and photography. Basically, each Safari van/Land cruiser comes with a professionally trained driver/guide with fuel for the whole safari. Furthermore, each client is entitled to a window seat and can take up to 8-10 people. We also have very comfortable super customs which can carry up to 6 people with their luggage. However, we also have small vehicles like Alphads, Harrier and much more that can carry 4-5 people.
